“Our goal in life is not to become perfect: but to become whole”
Bernie Clark
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga has it’s roots as part of the original Hatha Yoga tradition.
Yin Yoga combines the influences of Indian Yoga with Chinese Daoist practices and Western sciences to improve our health on many levels.
Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to
work only half of our body; the muscular half of our body. Yin Yoga allows us to work the other half; The deeper Yin tissues of our
ligaments, joints and even our bones. Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthens the joints, facia and connective tissue. The emphasis is
on long-held poses.
Yin Yoga is very supportive. Props are an important part of the Yin practice; therefore we use blankets, bolsters and straps. Props help
the practitioner surrender to long held poses. After a Yin practice the body feels deeply relaxed as if the practitioner just experienced a message. Yin yoga will also help in finding a deeper expression in the Vinyassa practice. The practitioner may also be able to experience have an ability to achieve a deeper expression of the poses.

Iyengar Style
This moderately paced class is appropriate for all levels as well as for seasoned students who are seeking to review classic poses. This class will also offer a deepened exploration of asanas (postures) and pranayamas (breath awareness). Students will practice basic to immediate standing, seated, twisting, back bending and inverted postures, that are the foundation of the Iyengar method. We will use lots of props and modifications as needed.
All Levels Class length is 90 minutes.

Sound Healing with Crystal Bowls
Hearing the enchanting sound of the crystal bowls seems to awaken an ancient remembering. Touching the “essence of the soul.”
Many cultures and religions revere sound so deeply as to believe it the universe into being. We perceive sound by skin and bone conduction, ingesting and consuming it with our whole body. My goal of music therapy is to reduce stress and pain, promote deep relaxation develop self-awareness and creativity, improve learning, and clarify personal values.
